WHAT IS THIS TEST ABOUT?

You might be surprised, but not every dog that is viciously barking at the strangers from behind the gate is actually capable of protecting the property or its owners. A good protection dog does not only scare away potential intruder but will also engage if necessary. This is where a lot of dogs who were thought to be protective – fail. A lot of dogs will back off and run away when slightly pressured.
This test is designed to do just that – to check whether your dog will engage and attempt to stop the intruder/attacker in a scenarios close to real life situations – home intrusion, attack on the street or car jacking.

WHAT DOES THE TEST CONSIST OF?

We can offer 2 type of tests – on your premises – when our decoy attempts to enter the property and test the dog’s reaction. We will discuss step by step the scenario for your particular case upon appointment.

Second type of test is testing on our premises. Here we can offer 2 scenarios:

• Our decoy will attempt to approach and attack the owner walking the dog on the street
• Our decoy will attempt to break into your car – car jacking scenario.

We will discuss the details for both scenarios before starting the test. Our team member will meet you on arrival and will guide you accordingly.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

• Testing on our premises:  25 Eur per dog. If you would like to test more then one dog - contact us for a discounted rate. 
• Testing on your premises: starting from 50 Eur + Travel expenses (depending on your location. Contact us for a precise quote)

The price includes the test itself, which would last about 20-30 minutes and 20 min consultation with our trainer. We will discuss your dog’s performance, give you our fair assessment and if you wish, will discuss training options suitable for you and your dog.

WHEN I CAN DO THE TEST?

• Tests on our premises are scheduled for every  Sunday & Monday afternoon. 
  Only limited number of spots are available each week, so we advise to book early. 
• Testing on your property is available by appointment.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

• We will not be performing tests on dogs younger then 2 years old. For young dogs and puppies we are happy to offer you assessment and evaluation to give you our opinion on whether the dog is suitable for protection training.
• Your dog will not be harmed physically or otherwise during the test. If the decoy notices that the dog is overly stressed at any time during the test –he will stop and retrieve.
